Warm greetings to our new and returning families from the Brown Middle School Parent Teacher Organization (PTO)! We are looking forward to an exciting year and invite all parents and guardians get involved and join our efforts to enhance the educational and community experience at Brown Middle School.
We are fortunate to have an outstanding team of administrators and teachers who are committed to providing an excellent education to our middle school students. In addition to academic achievement, Brown Middle School offers a variety of other activities that will enrich your child’s educational experience. These activities include community service, athletic teams, chorus, orchestra, band, clubs, and a variety of once-a-year all-school events such as the school musical and geography bee. We encourage you to encourage your child to participate in these enriching experiences at Brown.
Supporting Brown
The PTO provides financial and volunteer support to the school. The funds raised through special events and your annual dues are used to pay for Creative Arts and Science programs, technology enhancements, home-school communications, field trip and school fee subsidies, and so much more. In addition, the PTO provides many opportunities for parents to volunteer at the school; a great way to to get to know your child’s school, and meet teachers and other parents. Please see Committees for more information.
Communication
To facilitate communication between home and school, the PTO publishes a biweekly newsletter, this website, and the school directory.
The newsletter provides current information about events at Brown and is published twice a month via e-mail. The PTO website provides information about the PTO organization, volunteer opportunities, and other information of interest to Brown families. The school directory, which includes team listings, administrator and teacher contacts, parent/student addresses, and phone numbers will be sent home by the end of September.
