The Brown Middle School PTO provides many opportunities for parents to volunteer at the school; providing enrichment for the children as well as the chance to meet teachers and parents in our school community. Below is a list of PTO committees. If you are interested in a committee or would like to start a committee that is not on the list, or if you would just like some additional information, please contact one of the Co-Presidents.

| Book Fair | A celebration of reading, the Book Fair raises money for the PTO, and earns book rewards for Brown teachers. Parent volunteers help with this week-long Spring event, which transforms the school’s front lobby into a book store. | Lauren Berman |

| Build Brown | Organizes one or two “spruce up the school” parent and student volunteer work days, usually in the late fall or early spring. Projects typically include painting, cleaning, and light carpentry. | OPEN |
| Creative Arts & Sciences | Previews potential and existing curriculum enhancing programs with assistance of citywide coordinator. Schedules and finalizes contracts for all programs with the Asst. | 8th Grade Year-End Activities | Organizes special “moving-on” events for eighth grade students and their families at the end of the school year. | Lauren Adams |
| Faculty Foul-Ups | Organizes afterschool event that’s a tradition at Brown. Teachers and staff members participate in a free-throw shootout to the cheers of the students. | Christine Breslin |
