Dear Brown Community,

We have finally reached the end of the school year! Congratulations to our 8th graders! We will miss you and wish you well at high school.

We have a few important announcements before school ends on Thursday.

YONDR POUCH COLLECTION

Yondr pouches will be collected in Advisory Tuesday, June 23. If your student’s yondr pouch is broken or lost you will be charged a $30 replacement fee.

TANGO MANGO FUNDRAISER

Thank you everyone who participated in the Tango Mango fundraising weekend. We raised $210 for the Brown PTO and got to eat delicious food. It is a win win!

BOOK FAIR

Our new partnership with Wellesley Books for the book fair was a success! We raised just under $1000 and students got books for summer reading! Thank you to those who donated earlier this year so the PTO could help purchase books for those that needed help.

FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL AND OTHER DATES

If you are already thinking about next year, school starts on September 2nd (Wednesday) unlike previous years when school typically began the day after Labor Day.

In addition, 6th graders will be able to visit the school, Tuesday, September 1 from 9-9:45am. Our back to school picnic for families is set for Thursday, September 17th (rain date the 24th) and back to school night is Wednesday, September 30th.

We are also planning a caregivers’ night out for October. Stay tuned for details about that!

VOLUNTEER FOR NEXT YEAR!

The PTO only works because of our amazing volunteers. Please see herefor open volunteer slots for next year and sign up if you are interested. We are especially looking for help with the back-to-school teachers’ breakfast, the back-to-school pizza party, and our website.
