MARCH MADNESS IS THIS TUESDAY!
Brown’s annual March Madness Free Throw Contest is on Tuesday. We are still looking for score keepers if your schedule allows. Sign up here. This event is also a fundraiser for the PTO. If you want to donate to buy snacks, you can Venmo @Danielle-Wachs-1 (last 4 digits 1168).
CHANGE OF DATE FOR PRINCIPAL COFFEE (NOW APRIL 16TH)
The Principal Coffee scheduled for April 9th has been changed to April 16th. Join us on April 16th from 8:30-9:30am in the Brown Library for coffee with Principal Lysaght and Assistant Principal for Student Services, Samantha Murray.
You will hear a brief overview of Brown’s general and special education programming and preliminary thoughts on the impact of the FY27 budget and have time to ask questions. Our goal is to share more about Brown’s unique composition and create space to follow up on the recent School Committee budget discussions.
8TH GRADE MEETING WITH PRINCIPAL OF NSHS TOMORROW
Tomorrow, March 30th, Principal Stras from Newton South High School, will meet with parents from 8:30-9:30am in the Brown Library.
6TH GRADE DANCE
The 6th grade “spring fling” is Friday, April 10th, 6:00-8:00pm in the cafeteria. Tickets are $10. Students can buy a ticket at lunch time the week of April 6th. If cost presents an issue, please reach out to your school counselor for a ticket. There will be a DJ, games, prizes, a raffle, snacks, and an ice cream bar! Dressing up is optional. Lastly, we need donations/volunteers, particularly chaperones, to make this night a success. Sign up here!
BROWN PTO DONATION DAY AT SHAKE SHACK!
Eat at/order from the Shake Shack in Chestnut Hill on Thursday, April 9th and 25% of the cost of your meal will go to the Brown PTO!
You can
- Dine-in at the Shack – Just show your flyer at the register or input the promo code DONATE into the digital kiosk at checkout!
- Order ahead for pick-up through our mobile Shack App – Simply enter DONATE in the promo code section before submitting your order!
- Guests MUST do this for their meal to count toward the 25% donation.
- Delivery orders do not count toward Donation Day.
NPS COMMUNITY BUDGET FORUM
NPS will be hosting a Community Budget Forum on April 16th at Brown Middle School from 7:00–8:00pm.
Finally, a reminder that there is no school, Friday April 3rd.
